Can hybrid ferries reduce fuel costs?

If you are involved in ferries, fishery, or any marine sailing type activities (salmon and shellfish farms, etc), then this presentation is definitely for you.

We have the opportunity to hear from Andrew Flockhart, Head of Business Development at CMAL on the West Coast of Scotland.

Andrew is coming to Shetland to speak about CMAL’s latest developments in hybrid ferries and how these ferries reduce fuel and CO2 consumption by at least 20%. In addition, he will speak about how the battery banks can be charged overnight from the mains providing a good grid balancing system which can work in conjunction with renewables.

Further to this, Andrew will be speaking about hydrogen ferries with the aim to have zero emissions ferries.
